PUBLICATION ART DIRECTION PHOTOGRAPHY 2026 THE CONTEXTAFTERiMAGE was developed as a self-initiated publishing project to explore memory as an unstable system.
Prompted by the reality of forgetting and experiencing the effects of dementia within my own family, the project treats personal photography not as documentation but as residue.
The goal was to translate the feeling of memory through blur and erosion into an editorial structure using print.
THE OUTCOMEAFTERiMAGE is an ongoing series of saddle-stitched photographic zines built on a fixed design system.
Each issue applies consistent image treatment, pacing, and typographic logic while allowing content to evolve per issue.
The result positions memory as something fragile, incomplete, and continually reassembled.
AFTERiMAGE intends to preserve memory as it begins to fade with time. An Afterimage in the mind of sorts.
