THE CONTEXT
Through the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship program, I was commissioned to design visuals for an afterparty event in Berlin celebrating Adobe’s creative community. The brief asked me to capture the city’s edgy, underground style and translate it across both posters and menus. With a tight timeline and print applications, the work had to balance clarity with subcultural energy.

My research focused on Berlin’s Brutalist architecture, Telediskos (repurposed phone booths turned discos), and the graphic language of rave fliers that informed a grid-driven system echoing Berlin’s underground spirit.

THE OUTCOME
The final deliverables included a large-format poster and a compact menu design, unified through a strict grid, monospaced typography, and tight kerning to generate visual tension. A spiral motif became the central graphic element, nodding to rave aesthetics while adapting flexibly across scales. Adjustments to hierarchy and contrast ensured legibility for small menus while maintaining bold impact for posters.
